ESTABLISHED JUNE 1, 1999
FOUNDER - PASTOR ANTHONY A. SANDERS
“Living by what we saw; not by what we see” 2 Corinthians 4:18 were the words etched on the heart of Pastor
Anthony A. Sanders in 1998 as he made preparation to launch into ministry. A vision to minister to the
un-churched, and to teach the Word of God in a simple format that would transform followers into leaders.
On January 1, 1999 Higher Vision Ministries was birthed in the living room of Pastor Sanders at 1005 NW 7th Ave,
in Hallandale Beach, Florida. After five months of bible studies every Friday night at Ingall’s Park Center, Higher
Vision began its full Sunday services on the first Sunday of June, 1999 at 11:00 am at Ingall’s Park.
The church went through its stages of growth and development. After two years, the services were moved to O.B.
Johnson Park where it remained for the next five years. When the opportunity came for HVM to have a building of
its own, the ministry accepted the challenge and moved to the “Little Yellow Church” at the corner of Foster Road
and Fourth Avenue in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
With a strong mission to reach the un-churched, Higher Vision began its evangelistic outreach through Eagle’s
Wings Development Center, a community center which focuses on serving those in need. EWDC has touched the
lives of many through classes for first time home buyers, interview skills, resume writing, and with assistance in
applying for food stamp, unemployment, and social security benefits, canned food distribution, back to school,
and Thanksgiving and Christmas giveaways.
Higher Vision Ministries has developed ministers, deacons, teachers, and youth who are dedicated to their service
to the Lord. We are also proud of Pastor Sanders’ extension of ministry by becoming the first African American
North West resident in thirty years to become a City Commissioner in the City of Hallandale Beach. His passion to
represent the residents and provide a unified voice for those who have no voice or the ability to properly
articulate their concerns has resulted in many positive growth and development for the entire Hallandale Beach
After over two years of training, Higher Vision Ministries conducted its second deacon’s ordination service on
March 27, 2011, and on June 23rd, 2012 five ministers were licensed to serve and two were ordained. This is just
the continuation of the vision of Higher Vision, transforming followers into leaders.
" For we are persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to
come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38
